Final Score - Oxford 13 : 0 Bristol

The U16s continued their impressive start to the season with a 13-0 win over a hard working Bristol Terriers team at Oxpens this evening.

The first period saw Oxford dominate from the start with Bristol on the back foot for almost the entire period. A 3-0 scoreline (Josh, Josh and Jake) at the break was a poor indication of the hold Oxford had over Bristol.

The second period became more physical with some well timed checking from both teams, but again when it came to attacking play there was only one team with a cutting edge as Oxford added 6 more goals (Ryan, Benx2, Josh F x2 and Josh O).

The third period continued in the same vein with Ben netting 3 times before Josh F completed the scoring.

Well done boys and girls, if we can cut out the sort of indiscipline, which led to Oxford racking up 18 PiMs in the last 4 minutes of the game, then I'm sure we can be optimistic about the season ahead.

In particular I'd like to 'big-up' the D men and netminders. The goal scorers always get mentioned but i feel it worth pointing out that only one goal (a dubious one) has been conceded in the first 2 games.
