Who are the Oxford City Stars?

- Oxford City Stars were formed in 1984.
- The current squad have been playing since 2003.
- Play in the English National Division (South).
- A non-profit organisation who are entirely self-funded.
- Play out of Oxford Ice Rink.
- Coached by Darryl Morvan
- Captained by Darren Elliott, who is a product of Oxford's highly successful Junior Development programme.
- Rest of the team consists predominantly of young players who have progressed therough the Oxford Junior programme, with some experienced players who have learnt to play elsewhere but who have committed themselves to playing in Oxford.
- The Stars are affiliated with the Oxford junior ice hockey club whoses ages range from under 10 to under 18.
- A successful 2007-2008 season which saw the Stars achieve 3rd place in the League and 2nd place in the Southern Cup.
- In the 2008-2009 season we hope to again achieve a place in the play-offs and reach the national final.
