Oxford Stars Pre-Season Game

The Oxford Stars will play a preseason game on the 17th August against Coventry, at Coventry. Face-off time is at 18:00 with warm ups starting approx. 45 mins before. This will be the first opportunity to see the new team in action and we look forward to seeing you there. So make sure you come along to Coventry and cheer your Oxford Stars on to a win!

Volunteers Wanted

Oxford Stars are looking for volunteers to help out on game nights. There are a variety of roles that we need volunteers for, so if you have an interest in hockey and would like to be involved more then please email admin@oxfordstars.com for further details.

Junior Club Members Wanted

Oxford Junior Ice Hockey Club would welcome additional players for the 2008/2009 season in all age groups. If you are interested, the club offers 2 free weeks of training on Wednesday before you commit to joining us. Please call or email using the contacts page on this website.

Oxford Stars Trials

Oxford Stars are pleased to announce that they will be holding trials for the 2008/2009 season, at Oxford Ice Rink. Interested parties should contact the team at admin@oxfordstars.com, including a brief resume of their details to include details such as age, current club, position played, playing experience, contact details and any other information felt necessary to support their application. All correspondence will be replied to at the earliest opportunity, and succesful applicants will receive an invitation to attend the trials.

Please note that only players who have received an invitation from the club will be allowed onto the ice, and players should not attend the ice rink on an ad-hoc basis in view of this.

Under 16's Make 'A' League Hockey

The Oxford Under 16's finished the league in first place and as such will be playing in the "A" League next season - This is a great achievement and testimony to the players hard work and also the work of their coaches.

• Congratulations to the U16s team who beat Bristol on the 19th April and with that became the D2S League Champions. Thanks go out to all of those involved.
• Congratulations to the Stars on finishing 3rd in the League and 2nd in the Cup. It's been a great season and thanks to all those involved.
